Office Conversion, London

The office conversion above the Nationwide Building Society into one two-bedroom and three one-bedroom apartments. Following granting of the planning permission, the freeholder’s consent was required before construction could proceed. Allowances were made for the continued trading of the building society branch, and agreement was reached with the renovation.

Mark Fairhurst Architects provided the developer with partial architectural services; liaising with the freeholder and neighbours, preparing scope of works, commenting on the design, administering the contract and monitoring the construction on behalf of developer and freeholder.

Work was carried out over a period of 24 weeks with the complete renovation of the roof structural floor, windows and internal fit out.
