Gema Florido, Architect

Gema studied at the University of Architecture in Sevilla (ETSA) and has since gained experience working on a variety of architectural and urban design projects in the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany.

Previously, Gema worked in Berlin for Another Architect and Wilk Salinas Architects, where she gained experience producing numerous competition entries, planning applications, and even publications.

Upon moving to London, Gema has collaborated with a number of different studios such as Now:London and Spacehub Design, broadening her knowledge of interior, landscape, and urban design.

Outside of her professional work, Gema was part of the European Architects Students Assembly (EASE) program for a number of years, leading the Spanish National Team. She ran and participated in a number of architecture workshops across Europe from Cadiz, Spain to Helsinki, Finland.

Gema joined Mark Fairhurst Architects in 2017 and has worked on a range of new build, change of use, and domestic projects.

Gema combines her passion for architecture and travelling to further her understanding of architecture in relation to different cultures. In her free time she can be found practicing with her drone or enjoying London’s parks.
